We are what we repeatedly do.
Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit."
~ Aristotle
Have you have been successful in achieving the goals you set for yourself at the beginning of the years? Are you happy with your results? If the answer is yes, you probably have a formula for success, and you should stick to your blueprint. If the answer is no, then you need to start goal setting with the basics and design a program that works.
Step one is deciding what your goal is. The key here is to be as specific as possible. So often, people just say my goal is to lose weight. But what does that really mean? Do you want to fit into your favorite outfit, complete a competitive event or simply have more energy and enjoy a more active lifestyle? The more specific you make your goal, the better your odds of achieving that goal.
Achieving Goals
Your health goals will intertwine with your life goals. By accomplishing health objectives, you will find that other parts of your life become more balanced. Good health will provide you with more energy for work or play. Think how good you felt the last time you fit into that dress or suit that made you feel special. Or how it made you feel when someone told you how good you looked. The cost for all that energy, feeling and looking good is very inexpensive. All you have to do is prioritize. Put time aside every week for you. Whether it is spending time training, going for a walk, practicing yoga or whatever makes you feel good. Make sure that you take care of yourself, because if you don’t, no one else will.
